Graduates with computing degrees are in high demand, as IT systems underpin practically every sector of the economy. As part of your course, as well as gaining an understanding of core computing concepts, you will also develop soft skills such as team-working, communication and problem-solving.

Whether you’re interested in developing games and/or applications, reducing vulnerabilities in information systems or leveraging IT to improve business efficiency, you’ll find a computer science degree to help you prepare for your chosen career.

  • What can I study?

Our portfolio of computing and IT degrees includes undergraduate options that enable you to specialise in computer science, cyber security, games, mobile apps, creative computing or IT for business. These courses will help you develop the expertise needed to launch a career in one of these dynamic fields.

We also offer postgraduate courses in cybersecurity, software engineering and information systems. Many of our courses can be studied part-time and some can include an industrial placement for those keen to gain industry experience before graduating.

If you do not have the grades or subjects at level 3 that are required for your chosen degree, you may wish to apply to a foundation-year course. These are four-year degrees that begin with a year to prepare you for relevant undergraduate-level work.
