Professor Peter Komisarczuk MSc, PhD, CEng

Professor Komisarczuk joined the University as professor of computing in 2010 and he researches, lectures and consults in the area of networks and distributed systems.

He has published in the areas of internet security, telecommunications, broadband networking, next generation networks, cognitive radio and grid/cloud computing.

His current research is in internet security (in particular honeyclient systems), the Internet, cognitive radio and the 'Internet of Things'.

Professor Komisarczuk has worked for Ericsson, Fujitsu and Nortel Networks in the areas of next generation 'intelligent networks', access and optical networks and internet technology.

He has a doctorate from the University of Surrey and a Master's in modern electronics from the University of Nottingham.

He is a chartered engineer, a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Association for Computing Machinery, the British Computer Society, an Information Technology Certified Professional and a fellow of the New Zealand Computer Society.
