Arriving at the Berkshire Institute for Health

Please be aware that the ground floor Reception at the Berkshire Institute for Health will be refurbished next month. In order to undertake the works, the Reception will be closed between Monday 3 October and Friday 18 November, and will temporarily relocate to the second floor.
During the works you can access the Berkshire Institute for Health from the Oxford Road entrance into the Broad Street Mall. Please take either Lift A or B (next to Argos) up to the car park roof (Level C). You'll then need to walk across the car park roof to the right and go to the second floor podium level entrance where there will be a temporary reception.

Travel by foot

Fountain House is above the Broad Street Mall in Reading. The entrance is on Queen's Walk, a pedestrian walkway running between Oxford Road and the Civic Centre, at the rear of the Broad Street Mall.

From Oxford Road, turn into Queen's Walk between Argos and the Penta Hotel, and the entrance to Fountain House is about half-way down on the left.

Travel by train

The Berkshire Institute for Health is about five minutes walk away from Reading rail station. Trains run to London Paddington in less than 30 minutes.

Travel by car

There is no parking at Fountain House itself. The University has an arrangement with Garrard Street car park, near the station (about five minutes walk away), for discounted parking.

To take advantage of this please bring your car park ticket into Fountain House where it can be marked for the discount. Other, closer, car parks are available at full normal rates.
