The Chefs' Apprenticeship course is designed to help you to develop your skills as a chef while enabling you to gain a range of qualifications.
It aims to open opportunities for you in the hospitality and catering industry by participating in a partnership between an employer and the University, giving you an excellent opportunity to learn within the industry whilst being supported to gain the necessary qualifications to enable you to progress.
About the course
This is a three year course that covers a range of topics in culinary arts and hospitality business. In addition to the training you will receive at your apprenticeship, you will have lectures, demonstrations and site visits which cover:
- Food safety
- Employee rights and responsibilities
- Hospitality skills
- Game and shellfish
- Pastry and confectionery
- Bread and chocolate
This apprenticeship course is accredited by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts who developed the pioneering programme to enable young people to work in the finest establishments in the UK and around the world.
