Introduction

Aimed at Years 9, 10 and 11 students, our Junior Chefs' Academy courses provide youngsters with a great start in food and culinary arts.

The Junior Chefs’ Academy is sponsored by The Geoffrey Harrison Foundation with matched funding from the Savoy Educational Trust. It is supported by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and the Craft Guild of Chefs.

Our courses

There are two courses to choose from:

  • Junior Chefs' Academy
  • Junior Cake and Bake Academy

Each course lasts for 10 weeks, and are usually delivered on Saturday mornings from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Each session costs £10.

All applications are processed in person on enrolment day.

My sons attended the Saturday Chef's school which was just great - and their restaurant is so good. I think a lot of people do not know about this and how excellent it is. We should support those hard working students and staff because it is top notch.

These courses in hospitality enable you to travel the world and will also help you secure employment for life.

My daughter dreams of becoming a chef someday and this programme has helped her visualise and have a feel of what it is like working in the chefs environment... And to top it all, she gained and learned a new skill, has new friends and had a new experience.
