Gary Italiaander is a photographer with an international reputation, an author and a musician, who is often requested to speak about his photographic work as well as his association with Larry Adler and music background.
Gary began studying music at an early age. He holds music qualifications from London College of Music - ALCM, LLCM (TD) - where he studied between 1971 and 1974 - and also from Reading University, where he qualified as a teacher. During his years of study, Gary became hooked on the art of photography which led to a new career path.
The Italiaander Portrait Gallery was based in Harrods for a number of years and Gary is still associated with the store with his expertise in photographic restoration. His commissions have included private individuals, members of Royal Families and Ambassadors, as well as for large corporations including Arik Air, Merrill Lynch, British Gas International and many others.
Gary has extensive experience in high-end photography and has been involved with a variety of photographic organisations within the UK. He is an honorary member of the Master Photographers Association (MPA) received as a gesture of thanks for work to benefit MPA photographers throughout the United Kingdom, while raising funds for charities.
Apart from his photographic work being widely published, Gary has tested photographic inkjet papers for Ilford Imaging with his work displayed on their packaging worldwide. In addition, he has represented Olympus cameras. He has also been associated with a variety of charities, often creating initiatives for them.
