Peter studied piano and composition at the London College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music - winning two Lloyd Webber Piano Awards. After graduating Peter was made the youngest music examiner of the London College of Music and has written several degree courses and examination syllabus for them.
He has consulted for several leading music technology companies as a sound designer and has worked for several top artists including: Madonna, Leo Sayer and Kenny Rogers.
He worked for Capital Radio Group in charge of radio advertising production. He managed a team dealing with campaign analysis leading to creative conception and then production of commercials.
He left Capital creating his own sonic branding agency - Riviera Media Group. RMG create cross-media sonic branding, train radio groups in the creative-led sell and also research the power and influence of sound. Clients include Unilever, Unipath, Samsung, Warner Village Cinemas/Vue, Coca-Cola, Bauer, GMG and Smooth.
Current Research Projects - Project D-Nome: Established in January 2007 it's a collaboration between The Atlantic Whale Foundation and Peter Stone. It explores the way dolphins use their echo-locators to influence human brain states. It also researches other examples of dolphin influence that appears to assist human beings who suffer from cerebral palsy, autism, downs syndrome and depression.
Music Priming and pre-cognitive synesthesia: Peter has been exploring the way sound influences consumer purchasing decisions. In Ireland this research has involved SuperValue and Centra supermarkets and Dax restaurant in Dublin. In particular the amazing relationship between wine and music!
