BSc (Hons) Health Promotion and Public Health
This course will prepare you to gain the real-life knowledge and skills needed to promote the health and wellness of individuals and communities. It has been designed for students planning to work in the health promotion/public health arena, and/or individuals who have a public health/health promotion remit within their current role (e.g. nurses*, midwives*, voluntary workers, people involved in the health and fitness industry, allied health professionals, people working with local authorities, health promotion media campaigns, sexual health workers, youth workers).
Students undertaking this course will be eligible to apply for membership with the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH)
*Professionals with a health related qualification at Diploma/Advanced Diploma level e.g. Nurses, Midwives may be able to enter the third year of the course. Please contact the course team for further information.

BSc (Hons) Operating Department Practice
This course develops competent, reflective, accountable practitioners who can provide high standards of patient care during the anaesthetic, surgical and post-anaesthetic phases of perioperative care.
The course will provide you with learning opportunities, both in clinical practice and educational settings, to help you integrate knowledge and practice. These opportunities reflect the dynamic contemporary delivery of modern healthcare and will develop your ability to meet the needs of patients in the perioperative arena.

This new, flexible, part-time course enables you as a healthcare practitioner to top-up your pre-registration qualification (Diploma/Advanced Diploma) to a degree, in order to achieve graduate status. You will be able to study for a generic award in professional practice or focus your studies on a range of areas:
