Our training courses
Our staff are industry experts and train you in well-resourced training kitchens and restaurants. Choose from our range of courses across the hospitality industry, whether you're looking to gain experience, start your career or refresh your current skill set:
Get started in the food industry with on-the-job training and educational support from the Academy. Our students have worked for prestigious employers across London including The Savoy, The Ritz, restaurant groups and Heathrow-based hotels.
- Further Education
All Further Education courses have hands-on classes and practical teaching and assessment to give you the skills needed for further study or employment. We offer full-time and part-time courses, whether you're just starting out or already working in the hospitality industry.
- Junior Chefs' Academy
These short courses on cookery, Asian cookery or bakery are for young people (ages 14-16) interested in a career in food and culinary arts. They get hands-on experience in our professional kitchens with instruction by our expert teachers.

In addition to our excellent teaching and facilities, the Academy benefits from renowned industry supporters such as Heston Blumenthal OBE, Raymond Blanc OBE, Gary Rhodes OBE, Brian Turner CBE, Cyrus Todiwala OBE DL, Michel Roux (snr) OBE, Michel Roux (jnr) and Alain Roux. We are also supported by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and the Craft Guild of Chefs whose members participate in events, endorse the work of the University and play an active role in motivating, supporting and encouraging students to succeed at UWL, as well as hosting our students on work placements.
