Technical issues with Turnitin
We are aware of a number of issues with Turnitin which seem to have been affecting a minority of users during March and April 2012.
In most cases these issues can be resolved by switching from Internet Explorer to another browser: Firefox or Chrome - see Turnitin Supported Web Browsers
One issue which has definitely affected Internet Explorer users only, is that students are logged out of Turnitin when attempting to access their originality report or feedback.
Turnitin Support suggest that you add the following websites as trusted sites within Internet Explorer:
How to add sites to your list of trusted sites: see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Security-zones-adding-or-removing-websites
Turnitin Support also note: "Our engineers have further discovered that there is a conflict between IE and MicroSoft's operating system which is affecting Turnitin. A hot fix has been released by MicroSoft in relation to this at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2628724" (this refers to Internet Explorer 7, and most users will be on a later version than this)
