Careers service

Welcome to the University of West London Careers Service

One of the things students will learn from the Careers Service is that completing a degree is just the start of building a CV that engages potential employers. Head of Careers and Employability, Jo, says, 'A degree is important but you need to complement that with extracurricular activities and work experience.'

For many students the Careers Service played a crucial role in helping them prepare for their careers. Our graduates have recently secured jobs with Microsoft, the Foreign Office, Deloitte and IBM, to name a few.

Careers Adviser, Hannah, says, ‘We support students throughout their time at university, helping them become one of the 96% who go onto employment or further study when they graduate.’

See Hannah’s video for more on what the Careers Service offers.

Employment service

Recently, graduates have found jobs with technical support services company AECOM, and also Capita, the international outsourcing and professional services company.

Employment Service Manager, Huda, says the best way to get access to graduate vacancies like this is to sign up online to UWL’s Student Careers Lounge. The employment service can also help students get part time work both on and off campus.
