Working whilst you study

If you study at University of West London on a student visa, you may be entitled to work part-time during your course depending on the wording on your visa.

However, you should make sure you have adequate finances to fund your studies without needing to work.  You will have to provide evidence of having a specified amount of funds available in order to obtain your visa.

If you are a national of the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, there are different rules about whether you can work in the UK during and after your studies.

Working after your studies

If you study in the UK on a student visa, you may be able to apply for a two year working visa after you are awarded your qualification.  This is under the Post Study Work Scheme. Please note that the Post Study Work scheme closes in April 2012.
