Why study with us

Diverse student population

We have over 12,000 full-time students studying at the University of West London. There are over 3000 overseas students (EU and non-EU) studying with us. Our home students also come from a mix of backgrounds which makes us a truly diverse university which we are very proud of.

Academic achievements

Our courses and Schools are ranked in the top for academic achievements in London, and we have received awards and accolades for our academic education.

Internationally recognised qualifications

We are a HEFCE (government) funded institution. Our qualifications are internationally recognised, and we are audited to ensure this by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) in the UK.

The University has Highly Trusted Sponsorship status with UKBA (UK Border Agency).

Our safe and central location

We are based in the safe and beautiful area of West London. Our students love the relaxed surroundings – especially the neighbouring café culture, parks, day trips, and nearby excitement of central London.

Our world-class research

Our Schools carry out research that is renowned in the academic community.  For example, our Richard Wells Centre has carried out groundbreaking  research to provide healthcare staff with the evidence and tools to prevent healthcare associated infections, including meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).  It has been chosen as one of the most important research projects of modern times by the 'Big Ideas for the Future' report.

What our students do after they graduate

We provide employer-facing vocationally focused education which is directly linked to immediate graduate employment. Many of the courses we offer have a curriculum which is up-to-date with modern industry and work place practices.

We are proud of our excellent graduate employment rates. The UK Higher Education Statistical Agency (HESA) reports that 91.1% of our graduates were either working or studying six months after graduation in 2009 / 2010.
