1. Corporate recognition
Our awarding body, University of West London, has corporate recognition from Ofqual (the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator)*, and the corresponding organisations in Wales (DCELLS) and Northern Ireland (CCEA).
2. Qualification accreditation
Our graded exams in most subjects, plus our diplomas in music performance and music teaching, are accredited by Ofqual, DCELLS and CCEA. In order to be accredited, qualifications need to meet stringent criteria related to exam content, delivery, assessment and reporting procedures.
* Ofqual is the new regulator of qualifications, exams and tests in England, having taken over this role from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).
