BBC Asian radio broadcast

The media spotlight was on UWL’s ground-breaking Asian family business conference this week, with coverage on BBC radio, newspapers and websites.

BBC Asian Radio invited Dr Suresh Gamlath, Dean of the Claude Littner Business School – which organised the conference - into New Broadcasting House for a live radio debate on the future Asian businesses in the UK.

Leading Asian weekly newspaper Eastern Eye sent a reporter to cover the conference, which featured the Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Rami Ranger CBE shipping tycoon and Claude Littner, among many high-profile guests.

Local media also covered the conference held at the university’s campus site in Ealing.

Praising the innovative conference following which he addressed a gala dinner at UWL’s award-winning restaurant Pillars, the Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP, said: ‘It’s great that the Asian family business conference and the University of West London are, through this event, celebrating the contribution of Asian businesses to our society.’
