Dressed to impress – UWL Business students celebrate Student of the Year Awards

Over 100 students plus family and friends attended a Student of the Year Awards ceremony at Paragon House in Brentford recently. Awards were presented to students at the Claude Littner Business School, part of the University of West London, at various levels of study and on a range of courses at the School.

More than 100 students participated in a range of special workshops looking at how to successfully apply for jobs, manage their social media presence and improve their first aid knowledge.

Platinum music producer RP9 and manager Cem visit the University of West London to share industry insights

Richard ‘RP9’ Tucker has worked with artists including Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sande and Central Cee, who recently won two MOBO awards. Cem, who runs music management company Rebel Records, has worked with artists including Big Narstie, Akala and Jax Jones.

The Ealing Wind Orchestra plays debut concert at the University of West London

The recently formed orchestra is currently made up of 35 musicians, eight of whom are students at the University’s London College of Music. The free concert took place in Weston Hall and included music from The Lord of the Rings and Mission: Impossible films.

The University of West London’s BSc Games, Design and Animation students team up for a Games Jam

Students from UWL’s London School of Film, Media and Design (LSFMD) and London College of Music (LCM) joined together in January for a week-long ‘Games Jam’, with three teams each creating a completed game in just five days. The week ended with awards for the best games produced.
