Hamza Jeetooa is an actor, director, and writer. He is a graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where he studied MA Acting for Screen.

As an actor, he has starred in leading and supporting roles in TV shows for the BBC, ITV, Channel4, and stateside for ABC, CBS, and Hulu. These include Doctor Who, Luther, and Grantchester. On stage, he has featured in leading roles at theatres including the Royal Court, the Arcola, and the Young Vic.

He has co-written and directed a number of short films. Some of which have been commissioned by Arts Council England, selected for BAFTA-qualifying film festivals and distributed internationally.

Hamza is an active jury/voting member of BAFTA and has written articles about diversity and inclusion for Broadcast and Radio Times.

Teaching

Hamza has worked extensively as an industry-facing Acting Visiting Lecturer/Professional specialising in Screen Acting at institutions including ArtsEd, MetFilm School, and Royal Central School of Speech & Drama.

Hamza enjoys developing relevant, inclusive teaching content which engages, challenges and inspires students to achieve their goals in a safe, supportive environment.
