The Paul Hamlyn Library
The Paul Hamlyn Library opened at UWL's Ealing site on 1 September 2015.
This new space modernises study and borrowing, allowing students to learn quietly on their own or in groups, and to have access to books and other materials 24 hours a day.
View the Paul Hamlyn Library’s online 3D floorplan system to discover what is located on each floor, and find the location of specific subjects and collections.
See the library opening times.
There is a staffed helpdesk located within the library entrance, as well as online help to access the different databases and research tools.
The space, which rises from the ground to look out over Heart, provides:
- three new floors of library resources, study and PC spaces, plus a new Ground Floor entrance area
- around 780 study spaces, including single and double carrels
- a group study pavilion
- four quiet study rooms
- over 150 PCs
- three PC training labs
- two kilometres of book shelving
- one seminar room
- new self-service technology for checking books in and out.
