Work placements
Taking a work placement option gives you a real opportunity to develop practical, work-based skills to add to your academic achievements.
It:
- puts into practice your academic knowledge
- enhances your employment prospects by improving your skills and confidence
- can in certain circumstances, count towards the practical training requirements of a professional body.
The placement is usually taken for twelve months between Year 2 and Year 3 of your course.
It is usually arranged with the help of your Placement Module Leader and Placement Co-ordinators, with whom you will stay in contact during your 'year out'.
