Application for Nursing and Midwifery courses
Healthcare professionals who want to apply for a post-registration healthcare course should download and complete the below application forms.

Please note that you are unable to apply for these courses online because we have a legal obligation to perform security checks, and a requirement for an original signature on the application form.
Midwifery (Pre-registration) - shortened course
Students applying for the
Midwifery (Pre-registration) - Shortened need to download
application form (pdf, 230 kb) and the supplement and reference forms below.
Please also, complete and return the
Midwifery supplement form (pdf, 87 kb) and the
Midwifery reference form (pdf, 70 kb) as part of your application.
All other applications need to be made through
Universities and Colleges
Admissions Service (UCAS).

Applications

Applicants need to ensure that they meet, or are working towards meeting, the entry criteria which includes Maths and English GCSEs and the equivalent of A level qualifications.
The nursing and midwifery application process has several stages:
- Application made via UCAS
- University of West London Admissions team checks applicant meets the entry criteria
- The School's Admissions Tutor checks the applicant meets additional criteria (eg personal criteria)
The personal statement plays an important role. Please see guidance on writing a personal statement
- Applicants who meet the above criteria are invited to an interview and selection day. Numeracy and literacy will be tested. At this stage applicants need to ensure they are prepared for the tests. See guidance pages
- Applicants will only be made an offer if they are successful at the selection day and interview.
