Activities and events

The University offers offer a wide range of activities for school and college students (both individuals and groups). 

Some activities take place at the University, and others can take place within school and colleges. 

All activities are designed to help young people access higher education, by informing them about the opportunities and benefits of higher education. 

Activities are arranged on demand, unless dates are specified below.

Summer schools and short courses


Each summer, we run a range of workshops, courses and summer schools designed to give young people the chance to experience the variety of subjects available in higher education.  Last year's summer schools included the Food Fest Summer School and Health and Social Care Summer School.
