What does a Student Ambassador do?

After initial training, Student Ambassadors:
  • facilitate small-group activities for school and college students, informing them about aspects of university life
  • give tours of the University
  • provide support to school and college students who may not be familiar with the concept of higher education
  • inspire, motivate and act as a role model for school and college students
  • welcome and provide general customer service to guests of the University (eg at Open Days)
  • travel to schools, colleges and other venues across London
  • serve food and drink
  • represent the University at higher education fairs and promote the University's courses.
Once you become more experienced, you may have the opportunity to:
  • prepare and give presentations to groups of school and college students
  • become a mentor for a school or college student (or group of students)
  • run workshops in your subject for school and college students
  • use your specialist skills in another capacity (eg: produce a video).
