London School of Film, Media and Design short courses

We offer a variety of short courses ideal for people looking to develop new skills or enhance their creative potential. All are delivered by expert tutors, with teaching scheduled to accommodate participants who have full-time work commitments.

Classes take place at our St. Mary’s Road, Ealing site, which is a short walk from either Ealing Broadway or South Ealing stations.

Introduction to creative writing

This course introduces you to some of the key ideas of creative writing. Led by Professor Jeremy Strong, each week will involve a range of writing exercises, discussion and feedback. The emphasis is on constructive dialogue with fellow participants and a commitment to share writing produced outside the workshop. The course culminates in the production of a short story.

Photoshop techniques - digital workflow for photographers

This course is ideal for beginners, and photographers with some experience. You will learn to use your camera creatively and be introduced to the most important fundamentals of crafting digital photographs.

Introduction to visual effects

This course introduces the principles of visual effects within a CGI context. The course focuses upon creating a short visual effects piece combining a variety of moving image types – video, 3D animation and motion graphics.

Scratch
