Tell us about yourself

My name is Greta, I’m 21 years old and I’m a third year visual effects student. I moved to the UK two years ago from Poland where I grew up. I come from an artistic background of nine years in a music school.

GretaIn my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano and singing, as well as drawing and painting. One of my biggest passions is films, and my perfect evening is a cozy night in with a psychological drama type of movie. I love getting to know people and making connections. I love exchanging opinions and having deep conversations about life and ethics.

What do you love most about UWL?

Since I’ve become a UWL student, I've met people I wouldn't otherwise have had a chance to meet, and this has broadened my perspectives. It's helped me to gain an understanding of other cultures and people from different parts of the world.

Why did you want to become a vlogger?

I have decided to become a vlogger because of my own experience of moving countries and becoming a student. I wish there were videos I could've watched back then to put my mind at ease. Now, given the opportunity, I want to make the experience better for people like me, planning to move to London and study at UWL. Having been here, I can share my personal experience as well as tips and tricks on how to make the most of your time at Uni.

What advice would you give to a new student just about to start Uni?

If I could give advice to a new student just about to start Uni, I would say just accept everything as an experience. It'll not only enrich you as a person but also make you stronger and more open to what life throws at you. It's normal to be nervous, but you’ll get used to the way things are in no time. Good luck.
