Music
The London College of Music (LCM), based at our Ealing site, West London campus, boasts unrivaled music facilities with an impressive complex of
studios kitted-out to professional specifications, a number of music
practice rooms each with a piano and fantastic settings for concerts and
recitals.
Studios
Students studying music technology can take advantage of one of the
largest academically controlled studio complexes in the world, with 23
studios, labs and teaching studios on the Ealing site, West London campus alone, and
further facilities on the Reading site.
The network of studios, including some within Ealing Film Studios,
is the most sophisticated in the sector and new workstation facilities,
including the ‘Native Instrument labs’ and the 'Ableton lab', have been
sponsored by our partners.
Vestry Hall
Vestry Hall is used for rehearsals, classes and regular concerts
and houses part of the music technology facilities with two studios. All
the main teaching rooms are also equipped with pianos, including
several Steinway Grands.
St Mary's Church
St Mary’s Church is also used for concerts and recitals and you'll find a Steinway here too.
St Mary's Road Teaching Centre
There are three main studios and several music technology teaching
labs, plus a number of small studios for individual student work.
The library has an extensive collection of books and CDs together with several Mac labs for Music Technology students.
