The University has partnered with the American National College (ANC) Education to launch the ANC School of Postgraduate Education at a ceremony held recently in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
ANC will offer four programmes under the law postgraduate programme including LLM International Business and Commercial Law, LLM International Banking and Finance Law, LLM International Studies in Intellectual Property Law and LLM International Investment and Arbitration Law. The postgraduate business programmes include the MBA, MA Contemporary Marketing, MSc International Business Management and MSc Project.
The latest venture of ANC Education will be focused on advancing knowledge by introducing study methods that in addition to the Master's level analysis also incorporates more practical elements. The general curriculum and the theoretical aspects of the programme will cover the same curriculum as is offered by the University with 30% of the coursework being taught by professors from London.
Commenting on the partnership, Professor Peter John, Vice-Chancellor, said:
'As a part of our expanding partnerships with international education institutions, we are happy to partner with ANC Education to offer a number of postgraduate awards. We are confident that our up-to- date postgraduate awards will benefit students in Sri Lanka for both academic and career advancement,'
Professor Malcolm Davies, Head of Ealing Law School, added:
'It is my belief that the new suite of Masters degree programs that we are offering with our partner institute in Colombo, ANC, will provide another route for those wishing to work as lawyers; especially those looking for work in the global economy.'
