The Ealing Film and Music Valentines Festival 2013 (EMFF) was officially launched in the University of West London's William Barry Theatre on 12 November 2012.
The festival, which will take place between 14 - 17 February 2013, will feature a range of cultural events over three consecutive days and nights. The event has been developed by Sara Raybould, Head of the London College of Music, Angie Bray, MP for Ealing Central and Acton, Councillor Anne Chapman of Walpole Ward in Ealing, and Ealing community groups.
As a celebration of the rich artistic and cultural heritage in Ealing, the EMFF 2013 will showcase the many leading musicians, artists, filmmakers and lecturers that have roots in the borough. As one of the principle sponsors, the University of West London will be providing cinema facilities and supporting musical performances throughout the festival.
Professor Kathryn Mitchell, Acting Vice-Chancellor at the University, commented: 'It is extremely important to us that we play an active role within our community and therefore we are a keen supporter of the film festival, and are delighted to be able to offer the use of our newly designed and refurbished Doctor William Barry Theatre. Music and Film are an important part of our curriculum and life here at the University, and it’s wonderful that our students will be involved with this project too.'
