Guest Lecture: An Introduction to Laser Scanning in Civil Engineering

The School of Computing and Engineering is pleased to host another guest lecture as a part of the Evening Lecture Series organised by The Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES).

Timothy Beach, Associate - Measured Surveys, Malcolm Hollis will talk about 'An Introduction to Laser Scanning in Civil Engineering'. This will be an entry level presentation on the general principles of laser scanning, its application in the civil engineering field, processing of data, and outputs achieved. The presentation is aimed at those with little or no experience of laser scanning who would like an introduction into what is now an established but still fast growing field, and an increasingly important tool in the geospatial engineers arsenal of survey methods available. The event qualifies for one hour of CPD.
