Knowledge elicitation and formalisation for context and explanation-aware computing with case-based reasoning systems


Identify and evaluate existing and new approaches to elicit and formalise knowledge for context-aware (CA) systems as well as systems that are able to perform explanation-aware computing (ExaCt). The research was centred on systems that employ the specific artificial intelligence (AI) approach of Case-based reasoning (CBR). An additional goal of the research was to examine the possibilities of a new approach to the direct generation of context knowledge from explanations and explanatory knowledge from context knowledge.
