Students at the ATAL workshop

Students on our computing courses can join the student-run Alan Turing and Ada Lovelace (ATAL) club. Founded in 2015/16, the club meets weekly to work on projects, enter competitions and hold events for members and the UWL community. For further information about ATAL, please contact Dr Elahe Kani-Zabihi.

ATAL partners with Microsoft Windows

The ATAL club hosts events and last year organised one with Microsoft Windows Insider Program to help with the development of a mobile app which would allow London explorers to identify vacant residential and commercial buildings to be transformed into affordable housing

British Computer Society competition

In February 2017, the ATAL club entered in the Mobile Application Development competition which was organised by the British Computer Society Chartered Institute for IT in London West Branch. ATAL was successful and obtained an award for creating an Android Mobile Application for British Computer Society.
