- make invaluable contacts and get a foot in the door
- take away advice and trade secrets from industry professionals.
Courses with work placements
Work placements are available to second year students on the following courses:
- BA (Hons) Advertising
- BA (Hons) Broadcasting
- BA (Hons) Broadcast Journalism
- BA (Hons) Film Production
- BA (Hons) Media Studies
- BA (Hons) Photography
- BA (Hons) Public Relations.
This experience has motivated me so much to now search for more work placements, which will be great, not just for my CV, but also to gain more skills to become more employable.
I think it’s so good that we are pushed into getting experience in our second year of the course, because it makes you focus on an actual future career and not only just on finishing the course, also it helps you gain important contacts for after university. Micah Barnes, BA (Hons) Broadcast Journalism
