Enrolment

Enrolment is the process of registering as a UWL student which takes place online and in person at the University. Read on for everything you need to know about how to enrol.

Home/EU undergraduate enrolment

Enrolment is a three-step process:

  1. Pre-enrol online
  2. Set up your UWL student IT account
  3. Enrol in person

You must complete both the online and in person steps to be fully enrolled at the University.

Pre-enrol online with MyRegistry

You can begin your enrolment now using our online website, MyRegistry. For help, see the MyRegistry FAQs. To complete your enrolment, you must come in to the University on your scheduled date before classes start.

Enrol in person

You are required to come in person to complete your enrolment and fully become a part of the University.

Details regarding how to enrol in person are included in your Joining Instruction email, which you should have already received. If you have any questions about enrolling in person then please email enrolhelp@uwl.ac.uk or call 020 8231 2310 (option 2). Please have your Student ID Number ready.

When you arrive, you will have to:

  • show evidence of your qualifications which the offer was based on
  • speak to our Finance team regarding paying your fees
  • get your UWL Student ID Card to gain access to the University buildings and resources.

What to bring

To complete the enrolment process you must bring with you the following documents:

  • original education certificates or official results notifications* for the qualifications your offer was based on
  • original education certificates* for your highest qualification (if different from the above)
  • all other education certificates for qualifications on the UCAS Tariff
  • GCSE English and Mathematics certificates (or recognised equivalent)
  • proof of identity* - preferably your passport (please see proof of identity list for information on what is acceptable. In all cases, only original documents are acceptable)
  • your fees - the originals of your financial documentation*, for example, your Student Finance Entitlement Letter.  If self-funding your fees, please see our fees pages for undergraduates and postgraduates.

*Without these important documents you will not become a fully enrolled student at the University and this will affect your access to the University resources.

 

International student enrolment

Enrol in-person

All undergraduate and postgraduate international students must come to our Ealing site to complete their enrolment and induction.

  • Your original education certificates and qualifications*
  • A copy of your CAS letter*

Your new visa to study at the University of West London* - if you do not yet have your visa, then you must bring with you evidence that you have applied for your visa (eg a postal receipt) so that you will be able to enrol.

*Without these important documents you will not become a fully enrolled student at the University and this will affect your access to the University resources.

CPD student enrolment

Pre-enrol online with MyRegistry

You can begin your enrolment now using our online website, MyRegistry. For help, see the MyRegistry FAQs. You will then complete your enrolment in person at the University.

Enrol in person

You are required to come in person to complete your enrolment and fully become a part of the University. When you arrive, you will have to:

  • show evidence of your highest qualifications
  • Show proof of ID - this should take the form of a valid passport (this is essential for applicants with non-UK qualifications)
    If you do not have a passport, please see proof of identity list for information on what is acceptable. In all cases, only original documents are acceptable.

Without these important documents you will not become a fully enrolled student at the University and this will affect your access to the University resources.

Proof of identity

Proof of identity should take the form of a valid passport (this is essential for applicants with non-UK qualifications). If you do not have a valid passport, we ask for:

  • one of the following forms of photo-ID:
    • a valid photo driving licence
    • an EU ID card
  • plus any three of the following:
    • Marriage certificate
    • Credit card statement*
    • Mortgage statement
    • Valid insurance certificate
    • Bank or building society statement*
    • Utility bill (electricity / water / gas / telephone (including mobile phone contract))*
    • Non-original birth certificate (full or short form)
    • P45 / P60
    • Valid TV licence
    • Store card statement*
    • Correspondence or documents from the Benefits Agency, the Employment Service, the Inland Renue or a local authority*
    • Financial statement (eg pension, endowment, ISA)
    • Mail order catalogue statement*
    • Court summons
    • Valid NHS card
    • Addressed payslip*
    • National Insurance number card
    • Exam Certificate
    • Child benefit book
    • Connexions card
    • Certificate of British Nationality
    • Work permit / visa
    • Home Office documents
    • Council tax statement

*documentation should be less than three months old
