UWL Culinary Arts Management lecturer honoured by Craft Guild of Chefs

Ben Christopherson, Senior Lecturer in Patisserie and Confectionery at the London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism, recently received a Bronze Award at the Craft Guild of Chefs’ (CGOC) Annual General Meeting, where over 150 guests enjoyed lunch at the Hilton Waldorf.

Ben was one of six people to receive the award, which is given to members in recognition of their active involvement in the work of the CGOC, nationally or locally.
Ben serves on the Committee for the CGOC Graduate Awards competition, actively participating in designing, implementing, and executing the event itself, as well as taking on a judging role. Additionally, he mentors students who are taking part, promoting participation, skill enhancement and career advancement.
This role allows me to maintain close connections with prominent figures in the industry, enabling me to have a positive influence on the profession.
Moreover, nurturing these connections has led to opportunities such as guest lectures and contributions to curriculum development,”
