UWL is top modern* university in London in the Complete University Guide’s 2025 rankings

We are delighted to share that UWL has retained its position as London’s Number One Modern* University (excluding specialists) in the Complete University Guide’s annual university league tables. This latest accolade cements UWL’s position as a modern career university with a strong focus on student success.

The Complete University Guide highlights rising rankings across nine subject areas, which prospective students can explore from looking at the guide’s detailed course information.
Strong improvements in graduate outcomes and growth in academic and facilities spending at UWL are also identified in the results.
UWL also retains its second-place ranking among the University Alliance universities, a body of universities nationwide that work at the heart of communities to affect positive change through practical skills-based learning and applied research.
