Senior Lecturer
London School of Film, Media and Design

An interdisciplinary research focus means that Marcus Nicholls teaches across three courses in the London School of Film, Media and Design. His PhD, which looked at concepts from adaptation studies in relation to Decadent literature and the work of J.-K. Huysmans, has branched out into diverse explorations of ideas of textual adaptation in film, literature, and other media. These include notions of decay, mourning, and memory, and accompany other areas of interest such as gothic and horror studies.
