Dr Chekfoung Tan
BSc Computer Science (University Putra Malaysia), MSc Business Informatics (Henley Business School, University of Reading), PhD in Informatics (Henley Business School, University of Reading)
Chekfoung Tan graduated with first class honours in Computer Science degree at University Putra Malaysia, Malaysia in 2005; and distinction in the Master of Business Informatics at University of Reading, United Kingdom in 2011. Her research interests are organisational semiotics, digital business ecosystem, business technology consulting, enterprise architecture, project management and health informatics. She has published in a number of journals and prestigious IS conferences which include the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS).
She has years’ experiences working in a consultancy environment. The IT projects she has been working in include knowledge management solution for a global non-profit organisation in the UK, information architecture development for a UK hospital, application rationalisation project for a UK council, the global service desk implementation for a cigarette manufacturing company in UK, tills and stock system testing for a managed pub company in UK, incident management for an oil and gas company based in Australia and an e-procurement project for public agency in Malaysia.
