A graduate of Trinity College of Music, Lesley studied voice as her principal subject with both James Gaddarn and John Wakefield. As a professional singer, Lesley has worked as a classical soloist, in comedy, musical theatre in the West End and as a session singer for radio and television. 

Lesley is also a writer/researcher and broadcaster for radio and television and is a full member of The Writers Guild of Great Britain.

She is currently a vocal coach on the teaching faculty of the London College of Music, working with foundation and first year students on the Musical Theatre degree course, is an Associate Lecturer in Music Performance at Oxford Brookes University, and a visiting tutor at the Oxford School of Drama. 

Television and radio series include ‘The Magic of the Musicals’ (Global City Radio, 2011) and ‘Broadway Bonanza’ (Vintage TV/Sky, 2013).
