What is an Academic Support Librarian?
Each UWL course has an Academic Support Librarian assigned to it. They assist students with Library enquiries and can provide subject specific support and training. Librarians also order, purchase and manage resources recommended by teaching staff to help support their students.
What can an Academic Support Librarian do for me?
Your Librarian can help you to trace, access and use the most relevant academic resources for your course, using a balance of print, online and audio-visual materials. They can provide information literacy and skills training (e.g. in using online databases, in researching or referencing resources for your project or dissertation), for groups or individuals, by arrangement with tutors or by appointment with individual students.
