The Library offers support to help you complete your assignments at UWL. This help can come in many form including information skills training, extensions to our opening hours, new resources and of course, subject-specific advice from your Academic Support Librarian. Below is some information and recommended online tutorials that can also be of help.

Avoiding Plagiarism - An online tutorial produced by Cardiff University.

Harvard Referencing Tutorial - This tutorial developed by Cardiff University will help you to understand what citing and referencing means and why it is important to cite sources you use in your work. It uses the Harvard style to illustrate how to cite and reference a variety of sources including books, journals and web documents. Please note that some Schools at University of West London use a slightly modified version of Harvard. See our referencing pages for more details.

Infotrek - A University of West London library tutorial designed to help you find the information you need in the most systematic and effective way.

The Library Learning Journey - Provides research strategies which can be accessed in individual components or as a complete learning experience.
