ARTSFEST, which showcases the creativity and coursework of final year students from the London College of Music and the London School of Film, Media and Design, has been taking place during May and June.

More than 100 staff and postgraduate students attended to hear about some of the research projects underway at UWL and engage with the University’s research strategy for the next five years.

The discussion was entitled "How and where to connect with the next generation of talent" and took place at the ACCA’s London head office.

The award is given to members in recognition of their active involvement in the work of the CGOC, nationally or locally.

Thursday’s private view was a chance for friends and family to celebrate the students’ achievements with them. Also on the guest list were staff and industry experts who had been guest speakers or worked with students on the course across the three years.

The Police Constable Apprenticeship, which is run by UWL’s Institute for Policing Studies, combines on the job learning with working towards a fully funded degree.

The competition, which matched teams of students with professional mentors to develop their technical skills, teamwork and professionalism, was a collaboration between a number of local councils and the West London Film & TV Skills Academy.
