Dr Chiamaka Francisca Umeh graduated from the University of Sunderland in 2015; and graduated with a Distinction in the Master of Computing and Information Systems from the University of West London (UWL) in 2017. She completed her PhD in Computing and Information Systems in 2020 after completing her thesis on Digital Business Readiness Assessment Framework and SMEs in just under three years. 

Her research interests are digital business transformation, business information systems, digital business readiness, SMEs business management in practice, project management and quantitative research methods. She has published in several conferences, including the UK Academy for Information System (AIS), where she holds active membership.

She has nearly ten years of experience working in the retail industry and has developed a fundamental skill in applying theories in business practices for notable changes. Her current duties at UWL include course leadership, and module leadership, and she is responsible for timetabling, teaching curriculum development, assessment development and overseeing the delivery of practical teaching experience.

Dr Chiamaka Francisca Umeh likes to explore innovative ways to maintain a practical and invaluable teaching experience for UWL students and increase the inclusion of great minds in society, whether as entrepreneurs or as working-class graduates.
