Neil Henderson began his current role at the University of West London in January 2019, having had a previous appointment at UWL from March 2017 to January 2018 as interim Head of Human Resources.
Neil has over 17 years’ experience of HR in Higher Education, and has held substantive Assistant/Deputy Director roles at University College London and University of the Arts London from 2002 until 2012. In autumn 2012 he set up as an interim/consultant and worked in a range of roles from 2012 until January 2019. During this time, Neil worked at Birkbeck College , Kingston University, the Higher Education Statistics Agency, UWL and Queen Mary University London.
Prior to entering Higher Education Neil worked in HR for Hackney Borough Council. His working life started with the Metropolitan Police Service where Neil initially worked in general administration but then specialised in personnel and went onto become one of the first non-Chief Inspector Personnel Managers in an operational police station.
