We have all of the facilities needed to design and create garments. Our pattern-cutting room is equipped with high tables and mannequins.

  • What do I need in order to study fashion?

    Heartspace - in the heart of the University of West London's Ealing site.

    The entry requirements for each undergraduate fashion degree vary, so please check the relevant course page for full details. For example, on our Fashion and Textiles degree, you may be required to submit a portfolio.

    If you do not have quite the right grades or subjects at A-Level to begin your degree, then why not consider a foundation-year course at the University of West London? All of our degrees in this area are available as four-year courses, with the first year providing you with the grounding you need to progress successfully to level 4.

    As part of the Career University, our aim is to prepare you for your career, and you will benefit from our strong links to the fashion industry to help you achieve your ambitions.     We offer work placements as well as opportunities to collaborate with other students on a range of courses. This simulates real-world roles in the industry and will help you develop the contacts and interpersonal skills you need to pursue your career in the fashion world.

  • What can I do with a fashion degree?

    The UK’s vibrant fashion industry has been estimated to be worth around £66bn, creating jobs in a range of sectors from design and manufacture through retail to publishing and marketing.

    Depending on the course you choose, such as a fashion design course or a fashion brand management degree, you could pursue a role in the fashion industry as a designer, stylist, PR/press officer, digital marketer or researcher, manager, buyer or journalist.
