Introduction

UWL has a number of networks to support staff. All staff are welcome to join networks and benefit from being part of UWL communities.

Women's Network

The UWL Women's Network hosts events and creates a sense of community among UWL members of staff.

Working together, they identify and raise issues which impact women's working lives and act to improve health and well-being for women at work.

Staff who join the network benefit from access to community chat via Teams and coffee meet-ups, events and being able to contribute suggestions for network actions and activities.

LGBTQIA+ Network

The UWL LGBTQIA+ Staff Network plays a important role in fostering an inclusive workplace at UWL. Initiated by staff who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, this network provides essential support to LGBTQIA+ staff members. It also actively raises awareness about inclusion among colleagues, acting as a critical friend to the University and advocating for its commitment to inclusivity.
By collaborating with allies and emphasising intersectionality, the network aims to create a richer and more diverse university environment. Anyone is welcome to join our network and attend meetings, regular coffee mornings and events throughout the year.

The Neurodivergent Staff Network is a staff-led group committed to creating an inclusive, supportive and empowering environment for neurodivergent staff at our University. We aim to promote understanding, acceptance, and positive change regarding neurodiversity within our community.
