Keep going – you’re nearly there

Keep going – you’re nearly there

Welcome back from the spring break

This is it – the final push towards the end of the academic year. You should feel proud of everything you’ve already achieved. But it’s also important to keep your eye on the prize.

You will all have some important dates on the horizon, in the coming weeks and months. These could be assignments, exams, or dissertation deadlines.

This may seem intimidating, and it’s natural that you may be feeling nervous or stressed. But it’s important to remember – you’re not alone. We are here to help you every step of the way, so you can achieve your full potential.

So, check out the below advice and resources to help you on your way down the final straight.

Set a timetable

Many of you will have done this already. But if you haven’t – don’t panic. It’s not too late to get organised.

Make a note of the important dates and deadlines in your diary, and identify any pinch points where your workload may be higher than usual. This will help you to manage your output and ultimately help you from feeling overwhelmed later down the line.

Stay focused

Don’t lose focus. Ring-fence your study time and try to eliminate distractions. That means turning off your phone, avoiding social media and sticking to a schedule.

Small interruptions can derail an entire day of work. However, when you’ve achieved what you want to achieve for the day…

Reward yourself

It’s important not to burn out. Monitoring your wellbeing carefully and giving yourself little rewards for a hard day’s work are essential in avoiding this.

Whether it’s a sweet treat or an episode of your favourite TV show, make sure you give yourself something to work towards each day.
