Student satisfaction sees UWL jumps in league table

Introduction

The University of West London (UWL) has jumped 13 places and been ranked best for student experience in London in the latest influential Complete University Guide 2021.

The career-focused university is now ranked No.77 overall after the impressive jump on the back of remarkable results in the National Student Survey 2019 on everything from teaching to library services, campus facilities to student voice.

For student satisfaction, the Complete University Guide listed UWL as the top performing university in London and fourth best university across the entire country.

In the subject areas of Law, Computer Science, and Civil Engineering, UWL was ranked top in the UK for student satisfaction. In a further five subject areas, the University was ranked first in London for student satisfaction, including for Finance, Forensic Science, and Nursing.

UWL Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter John, said:

We place students at the heart of everything we do, and these new rankings reflect our commitment to delivering the best possible student experience.

Over the last few years, we have also invested more than £150 million in our campus to create an inspiring social and learning environment for our students. On top of modern social spaces and a new library, UWL is jam-packed with specialist facilities.

UWL has invested heavily in work based simulation facilities designed to give students a real-world experience of their career choices before they go out into the work place, and include a new ‘simbulance’ to train paramedics, a 737 flight simulator, a mock court room, simulated hospital wards, a fuselage and an industry standard radio station.

With one of the most diverse and vibrant university communities in the UK, students are able to connect with people from all across the world, from all kinds of backgrounds.

By working with UWL’s award-winning Students’ Union, students have the opportunity to meet, socialise and create the support networks that help them thrive in their education.

The University is running a series of online events for those wanting to find out more about undergraduate and postgraduate study starting this September.
