UWL shines a light on COP26

Intro

With world leaders meeting in Glasgow for COP26, the University of West London (UWL) will bring together experts in sustainability, finance and policymaking to unpack why the conference matters and what it means for Ealing residents.

Hosted on Wednesday 3 November, the free online event will include expert analysis, informed discussion and student-led content.

With COP26 focusing on finance on that day, there will also be a dedicated panel discussion looking at how to finance climate solutions.

Professor Anthony Woodman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UWL, said:

Climate change is one of the biggest issues facing humanity and this event will provide a fresh perspective on why COP26 matters for us in our university, and how we can finance our way to a sustainable future.

As a university, we are committed to becoming a net-zero carbon campus by 2030 and we will also be showcasing some of the work we have been undertaking to decarbonise our operations.

Climate Change, let’s panic! – COP26 takes place on Wednesday 3 November from 3pm to 6pm. It is hosted by the University of West London and the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability.
