International Ambassadors help showcase UWL to other prospective overseas students, including helping at recruitment events and participating in interviews, videos and photoshoots.
“We are a global university, and your presence here enhances what we do so much. Thank you for helping to ensure that UWL is enriched by a vibrant international community. It makes such a difference to have the energy that you bring to us,”
said Provost and Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Anthony Woodman as he welcomed the ambassadors.
Mariann Baker, Head of International Recruitment, said in her welcome to the students:
You are just starting your journey as UWL students and we want to capture your experience. Your story can help and reassure others who are thinking about applying here.”
Mariann invited each student to receive certificates and share a few words about themselves.
Claudia, from Mexico City, who is doing a MMus in Composition for Film and Television at UWL’s London College of Music, said:
I’m honoured to be an International Ambassador at UWL, the university of my dreams. I chose UWL because of the methodology here. The staff have been very kind and helped me so much.”
Josiah, from Singapore, who is doing a BSc in Culinary Arts Management at UWL’s London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism, commented:
I chose UWL because my instructor at culinary school back home is an alumnus and spoke wonders of the University. I’m delighted with the course so far and excited to be an International Ambassador.”
