Introduction

Following her passion for a career in law, mature student Marjon joined the University of West London through Clearing.

Marjon explains what the Clearing process was like and why she chose the law course at UWL.

quote

The UWL Clearing experience was really simple and easy. I was able to communicate with module leaders and the University seamlessly.

My choice was solidified when I did research into the teaching ability of the lecturers. I wanted to be at a university that had a strong emphasis on my chosen subject (Law) and I found just that.

I would suggest that potential students should do their research and ensure that they are committed to their degree. It's a big financial obligation for anyone of any age and any decisions on changing university should be made in the interest of furthering their learning potential as well as creating bonds with students. Clearing can be a great option for someone who wants to go to a better university. It can also help to navigate students to universities that prioritise their chosen subjects.

I have enjoyed being on the campus (Ealing) studying Law. The lecturers are highly skilled in their chosen subjects. UWL has provided all the information I needed whenever I needed it. They ensured that as a mature student, I was given the same amount of time and care of any other student. I would highly recommend UWL to anyone who wants to study Law.

I plan on completing my degree and then moving on to the Legal Practise Course (LPC). I’m currently employed by a small company that has the potential to expand exponentially over the next year or so and hope to be part of their potential legal team in London.
