Calendar of events
Samba Workshop, February 27 at 1.30pm and 2.30pm, YMCA
Inspired by the Samba schools and Blocos of Rio de Janeiro, Samba is an exciting opportunity for people to come together socially to create Brazilian carnival music. This is a great way to develop your rhythm and musical skills as well as working together socially as a team. No experience is necessary, only a good spirit of getting stuck in. For all the family from ages 6-106! Led by Josh Neale, YMCA Ealing in partnership with LCM.
Double Reed Tour, February and March 2018, West London primary schools
Our Junior College double reed teachers are very passionate about their instruments and have taken it upon themselves to raise awareness in local primary schools of their specialisms. This will include concerts, demos and trials. It is not too late for your school to be involved, if you would like our teachers to visit your school, please do get in touch.
Soloist Platform Concert, 17 March 2018, 3.30pm, Vestry Hall
This concert is open to any instrumentalists at LCM Junior College who wish to showcase their talents. Our LCM examinations are running the following week so this would be a great opportunity to perform your pieces.
Classical Master Class, 16 June 2018, 10am-12pm, Vestry Hall
Open to all young musicians across West London; this master class will be led by specialist Emilie Capulet, who will be working with you on stage to develop your performance technique in a piece you are learning. If you have conservatoire auditions coming up and you wish to work on performance etiquette, or if you want to have the opportunity to gain even more perspective on your playing, this is the session for you.
